Hairstyles for thin hair

Finding the right hairstyle for thin hair can be a challenge. You will not only have to find a style that compliments the shape of your face but also hides the fact that you are losing hair as much as possible. Many hairstyles will actually draw attention to the fact that your hair is thinning. Still there are lots of styles out there that go very will with thinning hair.

Men with thinning hair have it a little easier than women when it comes to hairstyles. Balding men can look very good with a shaved head or very short hair. Short haircuts will make hair look thicker. Men with only slightly thinning hair can also try the gelled spike style. Another good style is the Caesar haircut. Men with thinning hair should avoid long hair at all costs as this just does not look very good.

Women will also have to use a shorter hairstyle for best results. These are better because they draw attention to the face and not the hair. Updos or braids are also good for women with thinning hair. Both hairdos make hair look thinner and hide the fact that it is thinning.

While you may have heard that lots of layers will make your hair look fuller this is not true, this will actually make hair look even thinner. Some people with thin hair also believe that blow drying will damage their hair. This is not true either.

While finding a good hairstyle is a little harder for people with thinning hair, especially women, there are still plenty of options out there. Just because you are losing some hair doesn´t mean you can´t look good anymore.
