Vitamin C & hair loss
The connection between diet and hair loss is a well disputed issue. Many argue that in no way does what you eat affect how much hair you have.
On the other hand, there are those that suggest that your diet has a direct link to hair loss and eating a balanced diet is a must if you wish to
have a full and healthy head of hair. One thing is certainly agreed upon though and that is the fact that what your diet directly affects the
overall health of your hair. If you wish to have long, luscious, shiny hair than eating a balanced diet is a must. Of course there are many
factors which influence the prevention of hair loss but none is more prevalent than diet. What's more some suggest that particular nutrients in
your diet are absolutely necessary for healthy hair as there has been a connection established between vitamin C and hair loss in recent
years.
Few people are aware of the interplay between nutrients that occurs within the body. The body actually uses some nutrients to aid in the
absorption of others. Thus eating particular nutrients that help to break down others, while not necessary, can indeed be quite beneficial for
your overall health. Vitamin C is one of these assisting nutrients and its benefits for hair loss are undisputed when one considers the nutrients
it aids in breaking down. One of the major nutrients affecting the health of your hair is iron and vitamin C has been proven to aid in the
absorption of this key nutrient. Without ingesting an adequate amount of vitamin C you may be severely jeopardizing the ability of your body to
break down iron and as such you may, at some point, find yourself suffering from an iron deficiency. This iron deficiency may eventually lead to
hair loss and thus it is vitally important to ingest enough vitamin C and iron.
