Hair Loss and Vitamin D

The connection between hair loss and vitamin D is very strong. We don't get enough of this vitamin in our fruits and vegetables due to the amount of pesticides that are used during their growth. Therefore, most people are severely lacking in vitamin D. This problem can be solved by taking a vitamin D supplement, which many people do in today's world. It is said that the effects of a lack of vitamin D in the body can help solve many problems such as hair loss and such things as Rickets, Osteomalacia and increases the risk of osteoporosis, and muscle weakness to mention a few. With this in mind you can see the importance it would be to retaining a head full of healthy hair. Some of these symptoms would take a long period to develop and is highly unlikely in present time.

Sunlight also produces vitamin D and it is found that during the winter months that some people have a very low count of this vitamin but when the sun is shining this vitamin is activated in the skin and is absorbed by the body.  To have a good head of hair this is one of the options that should be taken into consideration.

It is very important to use the proper shampoos and some of the products that are offered for baldness even if you are not going bald. A lot of these products use compounds that would be beneficial to your hair and help your hair from thinning as you age. There are also some conditions that have vitamin D in them which would be an advantage to use even if you are not thinning yet.  So shop around for the best you can get to keep the hair you have before you do lose it. It is best to take preventive measures than stand by and watch your hair thin without reacting.
