DHT-Hair Transplantation Surgery

For some people that lose their hair, it is emotionally devastating. This is not the case with all people, but to some it is the worst thing that could happen to them. They should know that the reason this happens is an excessive amount of DHT - hair transplantation surgery can be the answer for those that suffer from this. DHT is a component of the male hormone and can cause baldness. Surgery is often the answer for many that suffer from this. Of course there are other reasons for hair loss as well as other remedies that will put hair back on the head of those that lose it. Over the years researchers have discovered many drugs that can be used to restore hair such as Rogaine and finasteride, but these are only only useful to the male population.

Hair transplants have become very popular in the replacement of hair in men and even in some cases, women.  This involves an operation that takes parts of the scalp from the sides and back of the head where the hair is still healthy and strong and transplants them to the place that is bald on the head. This seems to work very well although there is a little discomfort with the procedure. After you are healed you have a head full of hair and it is your own. With extreme baldness on the head this method may take more than one surgery to acquire the desired effect.

There is also another method that is used and that is tissue expansion. This is a procedure where silicone bags are inserted beneath the hair-bearing skin to expand the tissues. This expansion is then transferred to the areas that are bald. There are many alternatives to hair loss and many of them can be made permanent so that there is a wash and wear hair, the same as your own hair use to be.  There was a time when baldness was permanent and there wasn't much that could be done, but in today's world this is a thing of the past.
