Hair Loss In Women Of Color
If you are African American, you mat have experienced hair loss. A woman of color will certainly have gone through this sometime during their
lives. It has accelerated in recent years and has become a problem for many women. This is thought to be due to the fact that many women
have braided, weaved, dyed hair and use corn rows too much. This puts a strain on the hair roots and they eventually give way. This can lead to
some serious issues if the person persists with this kind of hair treatment and the hair may not always grow back if there is too much damage
done to it over the years.
There is also another factor that can occur in black women and that is alopecia. This may occur as a small patch of hair loss and accelerate into
major hair loss. This too is due to the mismanagement of hair by using chemicals or chronic tension on the hairlines. When the hair is pulled too
tightly and poorly applied chemicals are applied, this is what can happen to hair and sometimes results in very expensive transplants.
It is recommended that if you are getting braids that they are not left in for more than two weeks at a time and never apply glue directly to the
scalp. Anything that won't let you have access to your scalp will cause damage to the roots of your hair and is not recommended. Today's
hairdressers are trying to promote the natural healthy look, which will leave the hair soft and manageable without doing damage to it. There are
many becoming styles that can be worn that would compliment you no matter what occasion you may have coming up in the future. The way to go in
today's world is natural and your hair will thank you for it.
